PAD Animal Shelter need help!

  • During these difficult times this animal shelter is struggling and only have enough funds for the next two months, they have 57 dogs and over 250 cats, I don't know what will happen to these animals if they don't get help.  On top of that even though they are full, people keep leaving dogs and cats on their doorstep!  Abandoned animals is a real problem and it doesn't help with the financial crisis going on.  The people who work in this shelter are lovely and I rescued my own dog from here so would hate to see it closed down.  If anyone can help or has any ideas of how this shelter can be saved then please contact them, this is the facebook status they just wrote:

P.A.D (Protección de Animales Domesticos) is an animal shelter based in Mijas Costa dedicated to caring for and re-homing abandoned cats and dogs for the past 17 years.
The shelter is currently home to 57dogs and over 250 cats.
Along with so many others the charity is facing a severe financial crisis because demand for their services has grown whilst contributions have dropped dramatically. The charity’s source of income is entirely based on donations. Although notices posted at the shelter explain that no more animals can be accepted the staff find dogs and cats dumped on their doorstep daily.
President Lisa Emeny explained, “P.A.D currently has enough funds to survive the next two months and after that, if we don’t find a way to get some money in, I don’t know what we will do. Although we are constantly fundraising our current income levels are not enough to sustain the expenditure involved in ensuring the animals in our shelter are cared for and, although it is heart-breaking to turn people away, we simply cannot continue to take in any more cats and dogs. We have to focus on the ones we already have.”
If anyone is able to offer any financial help please make a donation as soon as possible to : Bankinter: 0128 0796 13 0102677405
You can also donate via Pay Pal or take donations to the shelter.
Lisa added, “These animals in our care didn’t choose to be there. But people do have a choice to help them and I can assure you that every cent will be gratefully received.”
