    August has seen big changes in how electricity bills are calculated, see how you could be affected and what to do to save money.

     

    A new study by Spanish Consumer Organisation OCU has concluded that even though online insurance comparison sites are useful you can still get a cheaper quote by phoning the company directly.

     

    You can get up to 2000€ back when you buy a new car as the Spanish Government launches the third “Plan Pive”. Details are still the same as those in our post from last year.

     

    According to stats, 63% of Spaniards try an article on in a store and then buy online to save money - we suggest you do the same!

    -  Kiehl’s stores across Spain have a “5 minutes 5 samples” promo on during September and if you buy from their online store you can get free delivery by using code ENVIOGRATIS.

    -  Ikea’s new catalogue is out with prices valid for 12 months. Don’t forget to get an Ikea Family Card (free) to get discounts. Use Pikeando to sell your used Ikea furniture in Spain (not an official Ikea site!).

    -  Offer at Alain Afflelou ends 31 Aug – buy one pair of prescription glasses and get another 2 pairs for only 1€ (for you or a friend).
