Why Spain?
Initially my son and family lives in Spain my grandson came over in Covid. We thought we would buy a holiday home spend our time in the holiday with family. Then 18 months into the destruction of Covid we decided to leave the UK sell up two cars two houses and away we went on a long arduous journey. I feel our journey is still in the beginning. At the in moment Benalmadena Pueblo. Malaga and 18 months we are learning finding our way. The sun never lets you down … Result! ☀️🌸
What was the biggest challenge for your move?
Visa. Whilst we persevered it took 12 months and we had to buy a Spanish business and set up a Spanish SL company.
Do you have any advice for Women thinking about making the move?
Talk to me if you’re British; I will help you understand the process. I wish someone had given me some true advice.
And you are a digital nomad – tell us more?
Working remotely is my main activity, however I am developing my interests as a Tea sommelier pulling together a Tea Club:-
- “History of Tea”
- How teas are produced, tastings and food pairings.
I am also a qualified Celebrant for Weddings and joining of souls. I offer vow renewals, pregnancy gender reveals and all intimate joining together ceremonies of hearts and souls.

Something you are grateful for?
I am grateful for getting to 61 and still healthy.
Who would be at your special dinner party?
I would have a large dinner party with Marco Polo, Christopher Columbus, Giovanni Antonio Canal ‘Canaletto’, Billy Connolly, Princess Diana, my Son. my grandson and Warren Buffet.
What’s your secret weapon?
Tenacity. Positivity. Forgivness.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!
One thing you had to bring to Spain and could never give away?
My honesty and humility.
Do you have a favourite book?
‘A town called Alice’. I met a man whilst walking through the Jeath museum in Kanchanaburi, Thailand (Bridge on the River Kwai) He said to read it, I did and it evoked the time feeling and emotion.
Something you would tell your younger self?
Don’t settle down until your at least 30 travel and learn about life, culture and people.
