Mariel Murias shares with us her MUMA Method – teaching us to use our five senses to make a house into a home. Read her story.

Why Spain?

In February 2020, I moved alone from Argentina to Spain for restart a new life. First I came to Barcelona to study interior designer because being an architect for 23 years and building houses is something that has always fascinated me.

And where are you now?

I am living in Frigiliana, one of the most beautiful white towns in the Costa del Sol.

After I finished my first year in Barcelona with a Masters in interior design during Pandemic time, I needed peace, nature and charming people around me.

What was the biggest challenge for your move?

I left my grown up kids and my parents in Argentina. All the time they support me to following my dreams.

Do you have any advice for Women thinking about making the move?

Don’t hesitate and do it. The weather, the people and you will find your community to settle here step by step .

Tell us about your reinvention?

In Pandemic Time, I reinvented myself.  During my 50th year, I created an online course in MUMA Method.

The purpose is awake the five senses at home, including the nature and be participants in the transformation of houses into a homes.

All my days I am working in MUMA and as an architect. Then walking in nature and helping Ucranian people in my Town Hall.
