Costa Women Meet Kelly Danvers

From Valencia’s vibrant barrios to the coastline walks of Torrevieja, this interview with Kelly Danvers is a beautiful reminder that life doesn’t have to fit into one box.

Kelly is a multi-passionate woman whose life in Spain blends movement, mindfulness, creativity, and connection.

Why Spain?

My wanderlust brought me originally to Valencia. I had already lived in various countries and so I decided to jump country without a second thought!

And where are you now?

Torrevieja but have lived in Valencia. Valencia has amazing barrios to explore! Torrevieja has a great all year climate and access to great walks across the coastline

What was the biggest challenge for your move?

I like to see challenges as being guided to where we need to be! i guess sometimes it can feel lonely but I tend to reframe that and enjoy time to connect with myself!

Tell us about your life in Spain.

I love to be active and enjoy learning new things. Currently I am learning to be an afroletics fitness and dance instructor. My life is very varied as is my work as I enjoy to do various things.

I am a Marketing and Events Manager for companies as well as a Vegan restaurant called Heal-thy in Torrevieja!

I also teach English and work as a translator Spanish to English.

I am a fully qualified Holistic Coach, Reiki therapist, Yoga and Meditation teacher and Masseuse.

I’m a positive, outgoing person who loves to walk, dance, read and explore!

What is something spectacular you would like to achieve in just one day?

That people worldwide would feel safe and loved and have access to the best Mental Health Care.

Achievement for me isn’t measured by materialistic things or money, instead i am so grateful that I feel content and grateful each day! I am also so happy that I love life and to travel.

Something you are grateful for?

I am grateful for ….. I often repeat many things I am grateful for as it grounds us and makes us tune into what is important.

Who would be at your special dinner party?

My family and close friends. They are the best people in my life!

What’s your secret weapon?

My empathy and kindness.

Do you have a favourite mantra?

I am grateful for ….. I often repeat many things I am grateful for as it grounds us and makes us tune into what is important.

One thing you had to bring to Spain and could never give away?

Sentimental things from my family such as an angel from my mum. My crystals and some of my notebooks as they keep me grounded.

Do you have a favourite book?

I have many but I love the book Shantaram as it shows that anything is possible in life!

Something you would tell your younger self?

Rejection is redirection!
