Simply Spanish Wine is an online wine community for expats living in Spain. Run by two expats with a passion for wine – Matthew and Ben – our aim is to help international residents like you get a better understanding of Spanish wine and give you access to a hand-picked range of wines to buy that reflect the diversity and quality Spain has to offer.
Great Wines
We avoid working with ‘industrial’ wine companies and focus instead on smaller, more artisanal operations with a story to tell. And we look for wines that are slightly different from the usual. That could mean winemakers using organic or biodynamic techniques. They could be using specific processes in the winery or managing their vineyard in a certain way. Or it could simply be that the vineyard is using local grapes in a way that expresses the characteristics and qualities of the regional terroir.
Great Content
On our website we offer a library of content on Spanish grapes, wine regions and winemaking techniques. We have interviews with producers explaining in their own words how they make their wines and what makes them special. And we produce tasting videos for our wines which bring together information about the grapes, the region, and the producers and how that all manifests itself in the glass.
