Pueblo Inglés, an English immersion course for Spanish students, invites 13 to 19-year-old English speakers to live and converse with Spaniards in charming villages in Spain.

In exchange they receive new international friends, free room and board and a great time.

Since July 2004 Pueblo Inglés has welcomed thousands of native English-speaking teen volunteers – American, Canadian, Irish, Scottish, Maltese, British, Australian, South African and Kiwi to the fabulous land of Don Quixote.

The venues are carefully selected for their historic and natural surroundings, including La Alberca, Candeleda or Coto del Valle. Teenagers who are native English speakers travel to Spain from all over the world to take part in this 1 or 2 week program.

They get to meet Spaniards of the same age who are looking to improve their command of the English language. In addition, the teens receive an award that certifies their contribution in volunteer hours.

During the program, the group is led by a Master of Ceremonies and Program Director, and with the help of numerous on-site counselors they focus on ensuring that the teens maximize their enjoyment while maintaining a safe environment.

“We are really delighted to offer this opportunity to teenagers from around the world.  It’s the most unique way to have a cultural exchange while having the time of your life”, says Colby Price, 7-year veteran teen Master of Ceremonies.

These summer camps include dozens of free and fun activities such as theatre skits and games, music and dance workshops, pool time, group competitions and challenges – all with a cultural twist. “Teenagers forge friendships for life. Plus, this is their chance to swap the TV screen for sunscreen this summer!” says Luke Nightingale, Program Coordinator.
