Its not what you know…

At a family party recently we met the fab and famous Spanish tenor Agustín Prunell-Friend http://www.agustinprunell.com/index.htm – he was so charming when I tried to impress him with my newly learnt Spanish vocabulary from the iPhone app‘Spanish 24/7′

You couldn’t fail to see the emotion in his eyes as I reeled off cupboard, traffic light and other equally useful words!

Agustín recommended the BBC Languages websitehttp://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/spanish/as a free learning resource and although it appears not to have been updated for a while, it looks really useful. I’m also working though the Busuu website and marking exercises for students leaning English.

However, my studies have been interrupted as I ordered Bringing Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel from Amazon – her last book Wolf Hall took me three years to read.
