Why Spain?

I left the UK a few years ago, to move to France. But after a few cold winters and some difficult decisions, my husband, son and I decided Spain was better suited.

And where are you now?

Benitachell, near Javea on the Costa Blanca

What was the biggest challenge for your move?

Post Brexit paperwork🙈an expensive and stressful process!

Do you have any advice for Women thinking about making the move?

Do it! I moved because I was finally ready to priortise my health and happiness. Life’s too short, and the sooner you realise “nothing changes if nothing changes” – the better!

Has your move to Spain affected your business?

I’m a business consultant and mentor for service providers. I help with building a lean and profitable business that allows you to enjoy life and take time off guilt-free.

When the Summer arrives, I’m found snorkelling or swimming in the sea with my son and husband.

This year, I’m committed to improving my Spanish and would love to start lessons

If you could achieve one spectacular thing in just one day what would it be?

To support other female entrepreneurs to create a life they love!

Something you are grateful for?

I had my son 2 weeks into the first lockdown in the UK, it was pretty scary. I had to be induced alone and recover in hospital alone. I’m grateful to all the staff and support I recieved around that time.

Who would be at your special dinner party?

David Attenborough: fascinating stories about the natural world, adding a touch of wonder and education to the gathering.

Emma Watson: for her advocacy work on gender equality and her contributions to the film industry

Elon Musk: for his groundbreaking work in technology and space exploration

Dame Judi Dench: for her legendary career in acting, offering a wealth of stories

What’s your secret weapon or accomplishment?

Self belief and persistence

Do you have a favourite quote?

Nothing changes if nothing changes, we’re in control of our own destiny.

One thing you had to bring to Spain and could never give away?

British tea bags- I couldn’t live without a proper cup of tea.

Do you have a favourite film?

“Slumdog Millionaire” – I love the underlying story that our lives are full of learning points

Something you would tell your younger self?

Don’t be so hard on yourself, people really aren’t thinking about you as much as you think they are, so do what makes you happy – not them
