Costa Women Meet … Claudia Roth

This week we meet Claudia Roth who left the world of luxury hospitality and traded in her globe-trotting career for a more holistic life.  While on business to India at an ashram in Pondicherry in the south of India, her mainstream ideological belief of self was altered.  It proved to be a significant turning point in her life.  Read more of her story

Did you choose Spain, or did Spain choose you?

Spain is my soul home where I allow myself to rest in my own presence.

Where are you based?

I am based in between London & Elviria spending more time here … gradually!

What was the biggest challenge for your move?

The biggest challenge is saying goodbye to Spain, but now I book my flight back before I leave though the last time this was not a guarantee to return (as we all know!)

What is your advice for Women thinking about making the move?

Follow your heart and only then follow your head.

How do you spend your days in Spain?

It was at the height of my high-fly corporate career working in luxury hospitality that I arrived at a turning point. An unplanned meeting in the forest of a spiritual community in the south of India presented me with a vague notion that I was about to depart from the highway of business success. Little did I know that my life was to radically change and it continues to radically change as I follow my heart!

During the onset of the pandemic I felt the need for conversations to make sense of what was happening in my mind and in the world. I followed my intuition, invited my network for a (digital) cup of coffee one Friday morning in March 2020. This was the start of something I never expected, dreamt of or had planned. 15 women wrote their life stories with so much courage and vulnerability. We held space for each other with much love and from a place of empowerment. We were courageous enough to go public. I AM EVERY WOMAN Trials, Tribulations, Triumphs and Discoveries: a collection of extraordinary life journeys was launched and is travelling internationally. These women wrote with a mission to connect with themselves, and with EVERY WOMAN who wants to embrace her own strength and courage.

Thanks to Ali’s introduction Celine of Love Yourself Project is featuring I AM EVERY WOMAN in her September book club. There is more to me but I believe this is enough.

I am of course happy to answer any questions.

Tell us something you are grateful for?

I am grateful for many things in my life!

Who would you invite to your special dinner party?

Oh dinner parties! I would invite a handful of “Goddesses” which I call my very special friends. We arrive dressed in white, look beautiful and sit around an open fire in the middle of nature singing, dancing, drumming and telling us stories. We laugh a lot. Food is homemade.

What is your secret weapon?

If you do what you love you just do it!

Favourite quote and why?

I have so many! It depends on my mood. Don’t beat yourself up while you learn in the school of life. I can’t recall who said it; it could even be me 🙂

One thing you had to bring to Spain and could never give away?

Good question! I travel around the world with a crystal.

Favourite book and why?

The book which has had the biggest impact on my life 20 years ago now is The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

Something you would tell your younger self?

Yep! Just to do it …
