The Ormus Connection is a breathing practice I was shown back in 2010 by Ormus, one of 9 nature elementals who journeyed with me during my Awakening. Awakening to the truth of Who IAM and What Life is All About! Oh my though, what rabbit holes I have been led down, some deep and wonderful truths have come to light, but there have also been some deep and sticky untruths… even to this day. Luckily I don’t stay down too long and when I come up for breath I practice The Ormus Connection, which remains a beautiful tool for me to quickly bring me back into balance and recharges my Body, Mind & Spirit. This simple breathing practice, supports you in feeling your natural connection with All That You are and awakens your innate sense to feel the energy that you, as consciousness, bring into your life. Allowing you to experience your truth of being free, unique, powerful and magnificent. Nothing and no-one can take your natural state of being magnificent, powerful and free, away from you, unless you have forgotten who you are and are pretending to be a victim, powerless and unimportant, controlled by others. This week we meet Beverley who would like to teach the world to sing… and to introduce you to shoes which spring to life as shoeman beings How did you end up living in Spain? We previously went to the Silver Coast in Portugal to a little seaside place with a horseshoe shaped bay called Sao Martinho de Porto, but although there was a small expat community there they didn’t do much and there was not much of an infrastructure, so we came to the singing and dancing Costa Del Sol! Where is home now? We live in Torrequebrada, Benalmádena where it is quieter than elsewhere, especially in the summer!  We are just a 5 minute walk down to the promenade where we enjoy walking by Sunset Beach hotel as it has recently had a facelift.  Benalmádena Port is very lovely as is the Pueblo. What was the biggest challenge for your move? After a year I think, we qualified for the healthcare system, but they wouldn’t let us join up even though we had all the necessary paperwork.  The problem was our Spanish wasn’t up to arguing the toss, so a good friend who refused to stand for any nonsense got us in! What is your advice for Women thinking about making the move? Please, please, please, don’t think in terms of wanting to ‘live the dream’ as there really are cons as well as pros.  Apart from doing loads of research, I would speak to lots of expats here. That way you can find out the cons and also you can learn from others’ mistakes and experience. How do you spend your days? There are 2 U3A groups for English speaking people over 50, on the coast and inland and Covid permitting they run a whole host of activities some of which we enjoy.  We also meet up with friends for a tapa or two!  At long last I have published my beautiful first book containing 2 stories for 5 -10 year olds about The Shoeshuffles:  shoes which spring to life as shoeman beings.  In Alive and Kicking the ‘Shoes’ build a town of their own and get up to mischief.  In ‘All Aboard’ they all escape Shoeville on narrow boats after it rains and rains and rains, and they have adventures based on the fun my family and I have had on narrow boat holidays.  Once the stories are read there’s some serious colouring-in to do!  (Some illustrations are coloured, whilst others have been left black and white for the children to colour-in).  Older children will enjoy reading the stories to their younger siblings. Something you are grateful for? My husband’s and my good health.  I have Diabetes but it does not trouble me, although just recently my sugar level and cholesterol level have been elevated but I have found a natural remedy that have got both down, plus my weight. Your special dinner party – who would you invite? My friends.  They are very special to me!  We’d have chicken casserole and tiramisu for dessert. What is your secret weapon? Maturity. Favourite song? I’d like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony… Because i would!      One thing from Spain you would never give away? A fan.  It’s a great Spanish invention. Having her own ‘Out of Africa’ experience in Spain, meet Evi who believes in the importance of rising every time we fall.  Read her story   How did you end up living in Spain? After 26 years of having lived and worked in East Africa, I thought it was time to return to Europe. I am a German national, however, as I had left my home town Munich early in life, I considered Europe to be my “Heimat”. I decided for Spain, because in many ways it reminds me of Africa. Also my son had to finish his school and we moved to Estepona.   Where are you based? Until this summer I had always lived around Estepona, with one break of 4 years, where I lived outside Tarifa. Both places are really fantastic to be. This year I decided to try the east side of Malaga and I rented a little house between Torrox and Frigiliana a bit in the campo. It is a stunning place to be, landscape, climate, the pueblos Frigiliana, Torrox and Nerja gorgeous, so far I like it!   Biggest challenge and how did you overcome it? No real challenge, beside the language which I learned quickly, by working in a Spanish business.   What would be your advice to Women thinking about moving to Spain? For me it is absolutely essential to speak the language. It makes life so much easier and shows respect to the Spanish people.   How do you spend your days? I am retired now. I like writing, have published several books about Africa and Andalucia, I love my little garden, love discovering new places around, meet new people. Before I met my new partner recently, I used to travel around in my camper exploring Spain, accompanied by my dogs. In Estepona I arranged events in my house, charity lunches, literature readings, etc. Now my house is too small for such arrangements. I have a lovely guesthouse for 2 people which I rent out for weekenders or holiday makers. 15 min. to the beaches and villages, great view to the sea and mountains. I am grateful for my health, my children and 4 grandchildren, my partner and my life!   Your special dinner table – who would you invite? First of all I would invite my family and closest friends, Guest of honour would be Karen Blixen (Out of Africa). I would serve a mixture of German/Andalusian and African dishes.   Your secret weapon? I am good in networking and bringing people together.   Quote which makes a difference to you? “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” – Nelson Mandela   What did you have to bring to Spain with you and would never give away? I brought lots of African paintings and art objects, which remind of a very special, valuable time in my life. But also memories, letters, silverware etc. from my family are always traveling with me.   Favourite Book? I love Karen Blixen´s book “Out of Africa”, beautiful language written with a great passion for Africa.   Something you would tell your younger self? Meet Wahida who is dreaming about moving to Spain and in the meantime is celebrating the launch of her first book.  Read her story   Tell us about your Spain journey I am currently based in the UK and planning to travel to Spain in the next 6 months.   What advice do you give yourself in readiness for the move? Just take the leap, but prepare for it!!   How do you spend your days? I am an author,a trained secondary teacher, a poet, a speaker, a podcaster, and an entrepreneur. As a teacher, I know that stories are the best way to convey life lessons.   Tell us about something you have achieved? I am absolutely grateful for my new book “Wisdom Feast, what would you like to be remembered for?” It is now published on Amazon, the message is out to the world!     Who would you have around your dinner table? Gandhi, for his kindness, his beautiful mind, Amy Winehouse, for her beautiful music and witty personality, Steve Jobs for his entrepreneurial skills and creative mind. We would eat various Mediterranean dishes sprinkled with delicious olive oil!   What is your secret weapon? Determination   Your favourite saying? Believe in yourself!   Something you have to bring with you to Spain? I will take with me my pen my dad gifted me when I was 10   Favourite song? Imagine, John Lennon.   If you’re feeling alone, lost, even unwanted, and see no end to your unhappiness, wondering why you have to suffer for so long… waking up each morning still breathing!   I want to ask you to stop thinking about this for a moment and feel around you. Imagine, you have tiny feelers on your body that feel into the Environment and within your Body/Mind. Keep feeling and maybe turn your shoulder and sense the Environment around you. IAM here with you, my consciousness expanded from where IAM now, fusing with your consciousness or in other words, your Higher Divine self, your own loving presence.   Feel this loving presence, loving and nurturing you, the Human Body/Mind. Feel how intense the love is. Feel how you begin to feel less alone, a little warmer and calmer. The more you allow yourself to feel, feel how your hopelessness seems to gently disappear and is replaced with a sort of courageous and trusting feeling!   Feel this loving presence, because this is who you truly are! You are so much more than your Body/Mind! You are Spirit too! You’ve always been and always will be part Body, Mind AND Spirit. IAM here to give you a gentle nudge to help you feel your own Spirit, your Divine and Loving Presence who is ready now to guide you further through this most critical time, into a new adventure.   I know for sure, as time goes by, you’ll remember more and more of your true worth, how essential and important you are in our magnificent world and of your unique mission you were born to fulfil this lifetime. You will be inspired in each moment as to just what to do and where to be. People will surround you, willing to help you move into a new life, a new and passionate work space, new relationships and a new home.   You are slowly and quite naturally waking up from a long and deeply incredible and traumatic Human experience over eons of time. You could say, all your experience has been about bringing you to this now moment. Sitting here with me, feeling, remembering and realising that it is time now to go beyond your Humanness and fully discover your multi-dimensional self. No more worries or concerns, as you trust everything to fall into place.   Relaxing now, sitting back ready to observe how easily you can create and experience a new life for yourself. Do you know how you would like to experience a new life, a new you? Imagine grand and wonderful things happening to you, imagine wellness, abundance and feeling joyful in a peaceful and unified world.   Of course, we must acknowledge gravity and matter, it’s one thing for things energetically or the mind to change quickly, but the physical will take a little longer. Have patience for this all to unfold.   Spend time with yourself, get to know yourself better and dream your grand dream because there will be times you will feel the burden and reality of your situation; the illness, job, relationship or home as old remnants move through your Body and Mind, releasing yourself of everything that no longer serves you, to make space for magic and miracles to come into your life.   Feel it all well, embrace all thought and emotion, all darkness and light. Breathe deeply, embracing everything with your loving presence, like a mother loving her child and remember that part of you, your Spirit or Divine self is bringing you through this time of great cleansing and transformation.   IAM always here with you, as we are all part of the one consciousness as well as each being our own Sovereign oneness.
