Costa Women Meet ... Renate van Nijen
Renate van Nijen has used her own experiences and life in Spain to create multiple books and artwork to share her story.  As an artist, storyteller and teacher she uses her learning of “love yourself first – you are good enough” to create spaces where you can join in her world.   Tell us your story of arriving in Spain Well, I would have preferred Italy as I had already lived there for five years. But in 2003, my then partner who I had met three years earlier, an Englishman who was also a functioning alcoholic – and a very good English teacher, wanted to live in Spain. He arrived in Logroño (La Rioja) in August of 2003, I followed him in October, but first went to Alicante for a solo exhibition of my artwork for one month. 18 years and 8 books later I still live in Spain. I now live in the village of La Herradura on the Costa Tropical and I married Miguel, my Spanish avocado farmer when I was 54 and he was 48. Yes I know… toy-ish boy! My English partner and I split up after 12 years of living and working together – I also earned a living as a translator from Dutch to English (I’m Dutch) and he was a proof-reader – the best, even when he was totally drunk. I wrote and published my first book in 2010 it is called Secret Thoughts (quirky, sensual very short stories with a twist) I like to write storytelling books. Tapas of Tales (funny stories about my life in Spain) is my latest book, written in April 2020 and Memories of World War II (my now 92 year old father’s experiences as a teenager in a family in the Resistance) was written in March 2020. Yes I was productive during the first lockdown. I wrote my book Cheers, breaking the silence (stories of partners, children, friends of alcoholics and alcoholics and healthcare workers and my own story) in 2011, but I revised it in 2020. I’m still passionate about the subject as many partners or children of alcoholics suffer in silence. I also wrote a book about the village I now live, called Reflections from La Herradura (it is both a storytelling book and an itinerary through the village. It describes the stories of dancers, writers, painters, musicians and other visionaries who came to the village). All my books are available on Amazon.        Tell us more about La Herradura La Herradura is part of the town of Almuñécar. The top three reasons why you should check this village out (and I can recommend my book to get to know it already): It is a magical seaside village, captured by two land-arms, hence the name La Herradura (which means horseshoe). One of which is natural park Cerro Gordo. On the other side of this land arm (still part of La Herradura) you will find the beautiful Cantarijan nudist beach if that is something you like. Because the mountains are so close to the village there is no space to spread out. There are no high-rise buildings, I think the maximum is six or eight apartments high, and it is still a very Spanish village – in the summer there is mainly Spanish tourism. Also good to know is that you get a tapa with your drinks for free. There is only one discothèque, but plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy the sea view. La Herradura is famous for it’s diving opportunities, there are many diving schools, so if you love that, you should definitively come to La Herradura for a visit or a stay. La Herradura and Almuñécar have a rich cultural offering. There are many artists of all genres who flock to the village. The famous Andres Segovia lived here and because of that the annual Andres Segovia classical guitar contest (a very prestigious contest) is held in La Herradura every year. But the village also attracts lots of spiritually inclined people. There are many yoga, pilates, tai chi, etc. classes and other interesting events you can join. One being my weekly art classes. If you are not in Spain yet, you could also join my Saturday morning online art class and yes, that does work.    What was the biggest challenge for your move to Spain and how did you overcome it? Quite honestly there wasn’t a huge challenge to move here. I never really liked living in the Netherlands and I had already lived in several other countries. It didn’t face me at all. I did study Spanish for a year prior to the move, but that also came easy to me as I was already fluent in Italian. I was happy to get away and just packed everything we wanted to bring in an old Citroen and drove off. My dad sent me a cubic metre box with stuff a few years later. If anything the challenge was that my then partner was an alcoholic. But it was still better in Spain than in the Netherlands!   Best advice for Women wanting to make the move to Spain? Best advice I can give you is that you should learn the language. For more than one reason, it is easier to integrate and also – in my view – as a matter of respect for the country you are going to make your home. I would also recommend that you really know how you will survive here, whether that’s by making a living or having a pension, and just to find out about all the rules and regulations. I’m sure you’ve seen the television programmes….   How do you spend your days? I have been a professional artist for over 35 years and have exhibited internationally, amongst others in Amsterdam, Rome and Paris. So art is still a big part of my daily routine. At the moment I’m painting Spanish bulls, but I’ve also painted flamenco dancers, Buddhas, colourful women and angels.     After I moved to southern Spain I started conducting art classes, which I still do. Nowadays both in my studio and online. I also offer master classes and mandala workshops for example.    My first book was published in 2010, see the first part of my story. But I am now working on my 9th book and I already can reveal the title…”Help, I’m turning into a Buddha”. Until recently I offered all what I do (art and books, art-classes, Angel oracle cards, etc.) on one website www.renatevannijen.com, but a few months ago I’ve decided to create a separate website for my art, called www.renatevannijenfineart.com  Feel free to check it out and if you like what you see, I’d love for you to subscribe to my once a month newsletter. The website still needs a bit more information and soon I will also offer high quality, limited edition prints of my artworks. So at the moment that is requiring a lot of my time.     I’ve also created a YouTube channel where I talk about my art and my books.  I still have a big passion to help people who are living with an alcoholic and don’t really know how to deal with that or find a way out. My book Cheers, breaking the silence… one voice at the time, helps people because they recognise themselves in the different stories. But I want to reach more people and have created a special YouTube channel where I talk about my own experiences in the matter and about subjects that are related to this. I feel it is hugely important to bring awareness to this subject. I have moved on from living with an alcoholic, but I know very well what that is like. I interviewed 40 plus people for my book, and I call myself an experience expert.  I’m also working on my Patreon page and on offering “expressing your creativity through art and writing online classes” as I know this is such a self-healing thing to do. Pfff I get even exhausted when I look at all the things I do and realise I have to plan a little better. I love doing all of the above and just need to create a workable diary as I can sometimes feel a little overwhelmed… do you know that feeling?   Something you are grateful for? I’m very grateful for my art and my books and for the fact that I can share my knowledge and colourful art and words with others. I’m also grateful for my Spanish husband – the avocado farmer. Lucky me.   Your special dinner party – who would you invite and what would you serve? I’d invite Oprah Winfrey as she inspired me many years ago to take a more spiritual path and approach to life, introducing me to interesting writers such as Gary Zukav and many more. I would also invite Dr. Joe Dispenza as I love what he does! I’ve bought many of his meditations and books and am fascinated and inspired by all this. Donna Eden might also be one of my guests as I like her Energy Medicine routines. There are quite a few more people I can think of, but I don’t like large groups, so I would have to arrange several dinner parties 🙂 I would create vegan tapas with different influences, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Indian…. a bit of a mixture, but making sure they all work well together. Yes, I love to cook and especially vegan food!   Your special superpower … Be myself, and inspire others without expecting anything back!   Favourite song, or quote? I don’t think I have a favourite quote or song as I feel inspired by many, but perhaps the most important lesson for me, and perhaps good to use as a quote is “love yourself first – you are good enough”.   One thing you had to bring to Spain and could never give away? Honestly, and I’m surprising myself by the answer…”nothing”. I’m pleasantly surprised actually as this means I’m not really attached to things, which I think is good, especially when you look around my house (rather full with paintings, statues, books etc.). Something I did not bring with me was my doggy Miki, a rescue who came into our lives 3 years ago… I would never give him away!   Favourite book? mmm again, not sure whether I have a favourite, but I’m most grateful to have discovered, many years ago, ‘The Seat of the Soul’ by Gary Zukav. Introduced to me by Oprah Winfrey.   Something you would tell your younger self? The quote I mentioned earlier “Love yourself first – you are good enough”!   Where can we find out more? www.renatevannijen.com is my overall website. www.renatevannijenfineart.com is my art website You can follow me on Facebook and on Youtube channel       Thank you Renate!   If you want to share YOUR story with us, please complete the online questionnaire here

Im officially a published author whoop! Whoop!
Hello Costa women community, A lot has happened since the last time I posted in here and i have put it down to make it a better habit of mine to blog more regularly. Having just published my first ever fictional novel Pink Club which is book one in a brand new series called ‘Pink Club’ I’ve discovered that writing a book takes a lot more work and dedication than I could ever have possibly imagined. Ive always had a love of reading books which my parents instilled in me as I was brought up by mum and dad reading me bedtime stories such as Charlie and the chocolate factory, the lion the witch and the wardrobe, I was encouraged to invent my own stories that they helped me with and one of which I intend to make into a children’s story in the near future. Pink Club follows our main protagonist Darla Pebble as she finds her way in young adult life having had her dreams to become a professional dancer dashed after being binned by her wicked dance teacher who owns an elite dance academy. Darla’s grandparents first enrolled and paid for her dance lessons when she was just eight years old and as she grew up, but after a tragic change in circumstances meant they could no longer fund her lessons, her teacher agreed to keeping Darla on as she won many competitions and money for the academy and was also a great advert for other dance mums looking at enrolling their children into the dance academy. However when she turns eighteen and having had the scholarship promised to her to keep her dancing for the children’s category her dance teacher tells her the space was given to another student and unless she can fit the bill to continue dancing she must leave which she does as she has no choice coming from a working class background and being in a caring capacity for her not very well put together mother. The journey of how I got pink club from idea to published novel is a long and arduous one and perhaps a story for another book to better support writers down the line. My main message for readers to take away from pink club is that if you have a dream big enough and your passionate enough then so long as you don’t give up, you can make the impossible possible because its not our finances or living situation that determines the outcomes to our dreams – we do! Search and download Pink Club by Emma Bruce today on amazon paperback and kindle or email me youreaglecoach@mail.com for a signed copy of the book. P&P charges will apply to any copies of the book sent overseas. I cant wait to start reading reviews of my book, its a nervous but also an exciting time for me. Emma.

Costa Women Meet ... Glenys Nicol
Discovering that different places in Spain offer different lifestyle choices, meet Glenys Nicol who found that her first home in Spain was great for holidays, but not perfect for a permanent move.  Read why positivity keeps her going and the importance of don’t worry, be happy.   Why Spain? I always wanted to retire to the Mediterranean and almost 20 years ago decided Malaga province was the place for me. I spent two weeks driving around and found Casarabonela and knew straight away it was the place for me. A year later I bought a house there to use for holidays knowing I could retire there eventually.     Tell us more about your home-finding experiences? After five years of retirement in Casarabonela, a very pretty village on the edge of the Sierra de Nieves nature reserve, I was finding life there a bit cut off and lonely especially during lock down. I’ve been spending a lot of time in Alora. It’s a bustling little town on the direct train line for the city, the airport and the coast and the Spanish and expats are all so friendly. I decided that Alora would be a better place for me.   Was that a challenge? It was a difficult decision for me as my house in Casarabonela was my dream home. However, I was really enjoying the company of new friends I had met in Alora. I bought a small patch of waste ground with a small cottage and converted it into a studio with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. I was spending more and more time in Alora. I loved the garden and pool but found it hard living in such a small studio. So, this year I bought another two bedroom house to renovate and finally live permently in Alora.   What advice would you offer for Women thinking about moving to Spain? Think carefully before committing yourself. What you are looking for on holiday is very different from where you want to live permanently. Also be sure to have some savings put aside for a few months to set yourself up especially if you do not have a job lined up straight away.     What is retirement life like in Spain? I have a wonderful retirement here. I work as a volunteer once a week in a second hand charity shop. All proceeds go to Esencia Animales Alora which organisés neutering of stray cats, setting them up in colonies locally and finds homes for stray cats and dogs. I do a lot of activities to keep healthy – yoga, meditacion, massages and go walking in the mountains with my two dogs. I go once a week to the city to saxophone and Spanish ckasses. I also really enjoy going to the coast as I really enjoy swimming in the sea. I love Marbella and Torremolinos.     What are you grateful for? I am so grateful to live in such a beautiful part of the world. I have travelled worldwide but since the Covid restrictions I prefer to make the most of all the local attractions and have not been further than Cadiz province. I have so much to enjoy on my doorstep and it’s so much easier and more enjoyable than trying to travel with all the restrictions at the moment.   Who would be on around your dinner table? I would put Queen Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots sitting next to each other. They never met and it would be fascinating to see these two powerful women coming from a male dominated society as well as how these rivals would react to each other. No party is complete without music so Bob Marley, Mahler and Ella Fitzgerald would all be at my table in the hope that they would all perform after the meal. For scintillating conversation I would have Jean Paul Sartre, Stephen Hawking, Brian Cox, Jo Brand and Lee Mack. And to eat, a huge buffet with roast game birds, rare beef, fresh wild salmon and a large selection of vegetarian dishes followed by British desserts – trifle, cranach and coffee and walnut cake – not to forget à selection of home made artisanal ice creams from my favourite Alora Heladeria.   What’s your secret weapon? Positivity!! If you put your mind to it you can do anything if you think positively.   Do you have any favourite sayings? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. You can dream as much as you want but making realistic goals into reality is much more satisfying. Having said that, think big when planning. Get the most out of your dreams and never give up.   One thing you had to bring with you when you made the move? That’s easy. The pictures and photos that bring back such happy memories of past events in my life before Spain   Favourite song and why? I love the song «  Don’t worry, be happy ». It has seen me through many difficult times. If you’re feeling down try singing along with this song a couple of times. It’s such a morale booster.   Something you would tell your ‘younger’ self? Dont hesitate if you want to do something positive and don’t let others talk you out of it.   Thank you Glenys!   If you want to share YOUR story with us, please complete the online questionnaire here

Yes we did it, and so can you.     Dotta’s Awakening Experience…   I realized there was simply more to life than this physical one at a very early age, and this was significantly glaring after a few incidents. I grew up partly in my home town of Nkwessi, a small village in the eastern region of my home country Nigeria. Filled with mysteries and things I deemed magical. At the time, I always wondered how everything just managed to make sense to the villagers.   I was enthralled and in love with this home town of mine, and could not wait to go there at any given opportunity. I spent my time between our home in the village and our home in Lagos, with my papa and step mother; while my mom went back to get a degree in the university of Ife, in the south of the country.   Shuttling between Lagos and Nkwessi with my parents, was the norm growing up. I explored every nook and cranny of my paradise, spending a lot of time in the river swimming. I believe this endeared me so much to water and I have a really close spiritual connection to this life source…   My best friend was my cousin, Chinelo. We called her Chichi. Chichi and I did everything together; we would sit by the big rubber tree near my uncle’s house and talk about the village elders and the weird traditions and rites, commonly practiced in our village. Chichi and I were fascinated by the many rites that went on around us.   Now you must understand the setup of this place, there were rules and traditions excluding females from so many things. Back then, we used to wonder why our younger brothers and cousins were considered older and superior by village laws, and the strangeness of not being allowed into certain areas of the village and not being able to see certain masquerades because of being female, all were a mystery to us. The village had so many do’s and don’ts, we simple chalked it all up to ignorance.   In retrospect, after our introduction and understanding of worshiping in a church environment, I began to see similarities in how women were viewed as spiritually different to men, even though the village version was cruder. My siblings and I were exposed to different types of churches through our mother. She was sold on Christ, his death and coming back, and she made sure all her children got to know about him.   Most folks in my village were Anglicans at the time, but this never stopped many of them from participating in traditional rites and cults. These were different to our mode of worship in churches. We found amusement in others, who questioned those engaged in traditional rites, casting them into the pits of hell for being heathens. Our rationale was that God did put us all on earth, but he also permitted diverse ways of worship and ways of praising him. But no one ever paid any attention to us, what did we know?   The churches my mother attended, outside the Anglican mode of worship, aroused my curiosity about spirituality. Unlike the Anglican songs of praise, and stifling conformity, spiritual churches like Christ healing Holy Sabbath Church, were filled with energy and charisma. Hands were clapped, drums beat and worshipers jumped high into the air, shouting Jehovah, hallelujah and hosanna at the top of their lungs. There was candle burnings and speaking in tongues, the display of which both frightened and mesmerized me. The only thing I had against them was the sting of candle wax on my poor skin (many would scream child abuse today) lol.   Chichi and I were seven years old when she fell ill with malaria. This was a killer back then, as different strains eluded various treatments. I remember going home and seeing her so frail and skeletal. I did tease her, but I was filled with overwhelming sadness. She was still ill, as of the day I returned with my parents to our home in the city. I could only hope that my papa would allow me return with him on his next visit.   Two weeks after my return to the city, I also fell ill. I was off school for about a week. I had a dream, one of the nights on which my illness was worst. I was on a vast beach. The beach stretched far beyond my view and there were people queued on two lines. On one line were hundreds of people dressed in flowing white robes. On the second line, hundreds of people dressed in regular clothing. Both lines were made up of people of different races, color, male, female and children.   Considering the vast number of people on both lines, I could not comprehend how the two men, who stood on a raised platform at the very front, where the lines started, would be able to conclude the roll call in time. I was on the line with people dressed in regular clothing, and while there, I felt someone tug at my arm. I turned around and standing there was Chichi, dressed in a flowing bright white robe. I hugged her excitedly and asked what she was doing here and why she was dressed in white. Isn’t it exciting to be in this awesome place, I asked.   Chichi looked sad and shook her head repeatedly, saying no, no, I did not belong here. I asked why. Her response was to plead with me to come with her. She tried pulling me out of the line and I struggled to remain where I was, but Chichi was much powerful than I. She succeeded in pulling me away from the line, to a corner. This was when I noticed that she no longer looked skeletal. She was radiant! She hugged me tightly and whispered, “We’ll see again Njide, but not now, later you understand.” (Njide is my Igbo name, pronounced In-gee-day).   I woke up with my arms still in an embrace, and calling her name. I was covered in sweat and my heart felt as if it would break in two. I cried so much that morning, my stepmom almost went crazy with worry. She did not want my father to blame her for my unhappiness… another story. Later that evening, my father came home with the news. Chichi had died a week ago back in the village.   I was devastated, confused and angry, looking for someone to blame. I remember telling my father it was his fault I never got to say goodbye. If only he had taken me to the village one last time. Of course mine was the ranting of an angry child. He understood and did not reprimand me for my rudeness.   I missed out attending Chichi’s burial ceremony and farewell ritual. When a young child dies, it was customary in my village, for all her younger siblings and playmates to be cleansed of her aura and spirit. This is done by bathing each child by her graveside, chanting incantations to severe ties of the dead from the living. This is done, because, prior to these rituals, kids told their parents or adults, that they still see and play with their dead friends and siblings. On this occasion of Chichi’s death, I was the only one who did not have this ritual bath. In the aftermath of my dream, it dawned on me that Chichi appearing in my dream, saved my life.   If I had remained on that line, I would have responded to my name during the roll call, to the end that I would not have woken from my sleep. There’s nothing wrong with death… it just was not my time. The universe orchestrated circumstances to ensure the separation rite was not performed on me, making it possible for Chichi to reach and save me. This incident with Chichi is something that will remain with me as long as I live and I still miss her to this day.   For me, being awakened is a process and not a destination. Like the stages of infancy to adulthood, man undergoes stages of awareness before attaining a higher level of consciousness: worshiping a God through object before ultimately realizing that we are gods to each other. Representatives of the Great I AM. My awareness is about being spiritually conscious of my surroundings and me. I believe in Christ and have the uttermost respect for Eastern, and other belief systems; simple because I have grown to understand that the only true form of worship, or praise of God or the Infinite, is for man to find himself and acknowledge the I Am, in himself.     Mom returned home one day to tell me she had found God. I smiled and asked her where. She said in the ‘O’. I asked what is the ‘O’? Her reply was, the ‘O’ is infinite, endless and beyond measure. The infinite nature of the letter ‘O’, is symbolic of the completeness and dual nature of man. The spiritual and physical nature of God, reflected in the spiritual and physical nature of man as God. This awareness, catapulted me to a whole new dimension which I’m glad to say, continues to date.   I have had experiences whereby, I was shown things in my dreams, many of which have occurred. I grew up surrounded by instances of supernatural occurrences to myself and others around me. Some involved being saved from disasters or accidents that should have taken their lives. My husband is an example: traveling to work on a busy stretch of road in London, Fulham Palace Road (A219) towards Putney Bridge, he fell asleep driving.   He was about to crash into the side railings when the horn (his own horn) woke him up! For 9am in the morning, he did not run into any other car, there were no pedestrians about and surprisingly no other car close by. Something or someone used his own hands to blast the horn of the car he was driving. As if that was not enough for the day, at the exact spot, driving back home and the same thing happened. The only difference being, he was now driving on the opposite side of the road.   Fulham Palace Road is always busy, both with vehicles and pedestrians. But surprisingly, twice on the same day, in the exact spot, no one was anywhere close to him. Using his own hands, the horn was pressed, waking him up the moment before he would have gone headlong into the railings and then the buildings behind them. Growing up around such occurrences made it impossible to ignore the existence of something beyond the physical; an awareness of the spiritual nature of man.   At age fourteen, I had my first experience with the Light (I refer to it as Light, because that is what I know it to be.) I was upset one afternoon because mom would not let me visit my friend who lived in another part of Lagos. I did everything possible to persuade her, but she was weary of that area of town and what I might be influenced to get up to, over there. I remember telling her she had no confidence in her job raising me, if a simple visit to the other side of town was such a threat to her. For that, I was banished to my room. Teenage hormones, or fury, I don’t know which, but something completely took over me…Rage!   All I wanted to do was die, which would show her. I thought stupidly and I proceeded to hold my breath. Something I had done in the past, and strangely, the sensation of the effect was always, rather pleasing. On this particular day, I over did it. The sensation started as a slight heat on my forehead and immediately it shot down my spine. Soon, my entire body was overwhelmed with heat. The discomforting feeling of not breathing began to wear off. All I felt was calm. I was floating and I liked it, very much. I was going towards a light. I remember saying to myself, I’m leaving, and soon I’ll be dead.   The word DEAD, sent panic waves through me and my whole world flashed before my eyes. It was like a movie trailer and it ended with my mom’s face as she looked down on me with tears streaming down her face. I was no longer happy, or eager to remain where I was, but it was almost too late to come back. I began to reach back, step further away from the light, but it was as though a force field was pulling against me. I could still hear the physical world, faintly…cars and street noise. I was tired and out of breath.   Suddenly, I heard a loud banging and then another. Then I heard mom yelling my name. She wanted me to stop whining and come help her with dinner. I remember holding on to her voice and with one final struggle, I was virtually hurled away from the force. When I opened my eyes, I was no longer on my bed, but on floor. Mom was still banging on the door. I crawled and let her in, whispering that I will be out a minute.   Fast forward to my adult years, I was now married and a mother to seven children. Part of my journey towards being enlightened is my experience with Light. Several years ago, I was at a place in my life, when everything was falling apart. I suppose the stress brought on the headaches. This also was the period when second experience with the Light began. It started at first as a tiny stream of light that would suddenly take over me, especially when really tired.   This was around 2009, the period I was diagnosed with migraine headaches. I would lie awake in bed. Aware of the noises around me—I could hear the kids and the television downstairs—until I felt a concentration of heat on my forehead and next, I would see a stream of bright light. Gradually, I began to see images, almost like a silent motion picture. I would see the most beautiful falling hills, and sometimes mountains glazed with ice and snow. At other times, it would be a meadow, or a vast never ending desert of sand. These images were soothing and calming to me. Knowing I was awake and yet having this experience, I called out to one of the kids, to know if they could see what I saw. I did call but no sound emitted from me.   These experiences never last long when I do observe the time, but over there, it seems as if I had spent hours. At this point, once I get off the bed, my head always felt better. I somehow understood that there was much more to the light than making my headaches go away. As time went on, these light visitations began to last longer, and the images also began to change. I started to see silhouettes of people. Over a period of time, the silhouettes became clearer and I began to see people.   I found all this exciting, and soon discovered that I no longer had to be tired or have an aura of migraine to have the Light experience. Soon, I began to put myself in a state where the lights came to me. I see people, in gardens or malls or in their living rooms. Most times I don’t know who they are, sometimes I do. So far, I have had no communication with anyone, even though I have observed people communicating with each other; without being privy to their discussions.   I am ecstatic about these experiences for two reasons: this was a means of getting rid of my migraines without medication. Secondly, the calm and soothing experience this also brought into my life in the aftermath of each experience. My awakening is realizing that God exists through man. Man is God to man. If I can love my fellow-man, I can love God, and my neighbor can and will experience the love of God.   Whatever little act of kindness I show to those who need it—whether they deserving or not—will make the world a better place. Every cruel or good act performed towards any other living thing is done by God. If man is more caring and tolerant of his fellow-man, everyone will perceive a loving caring God, as experienced firsthand through another being. Refer to my blog post from last year: I AM BECAUSE OF LOVE.   Life is a school and I am its avid student; a work in progress. I’m still learning, and will continue to learn from life and all that is life. The opportunity to rehash aspects of my life is a wonderful experience, which I thank Barbara for providing. I consider this a soul- searching exercise, as our individual and collective journeys serve as a compass to each other.     Affects and Changes of the Awakening Earth and Humanity   The Earth and Humankind are all part of a Natural Shift of Consciousness that is occurring now. Our solar system finds itself surrounded by a higher expansional energy; a new energy that we have called forth in our declaration for no more fear, greed and power-mongering.    It is an energy that resonates with LOVE. Love that Humans have learned to FEEL here on Earth. A love that creates DivineHumanBeings, allowing them to live in a peaceful and harmonious surrounding on Earth.    This new energy, of intense light actually affects the magnetic make-up of our whole solar system. Creating intense magnetic storms on our sun, where strong solar flares reach the Earths orbit and interfere with the magnetics within the Earth and the Human Being.   The Human body contains millions of tiny magnetic particles that interconnect through Human antennas to the Earth’s magnetic field, enabling the Human to receive and transmit consciousness which influence the physical body and all its internal systems.   The interference of the magnetic field is causing a cleansing effect on Earth, physical shifting and shaking the earth and her inhabitants, creating unusual weather patterns and within the Human Being; cleansing people from all their fears and yesterdays. It is actually the most beautiful gift that we can receive.  Intense light to naturally awaken our consciousness, changing our DNA and crystalising our molecules. Our inner light, our being is being ignited anew, clearing our body of past debris, burning away everything that no longer serves us, leaving nothing but pure love and passion within each Human Being and the Earth.   During this Shift in Consciousness… our Awakening is affecting our mental, emotional and physical bodies, pulling us all ways and putting us through some uncomfortable and painful times. Not only are we integrating and releasing all our own past life patterns and karma that no longer serves us, but that of all our ancestors that have lived before us.    Our Body Consciousness; Body, Mind, Spirit and Aspects is naturally finding a new balance of Sovereign ONENESS.   It is most important neither to fight nor to give in, but to trust that everything is all so perfect. This is our journey that we have chosen to live now so let’s enjoy the ride and allow our Embodied Ascension to happen quite naturally.   Awakening Symptoms   Physical… Aches and pains in the joints, especially neck, shoulders and back, heat sensations beyond the menopause, feeling hot and cold, feeling dizzy and shaky, vertigo, ringing in the ears, nauseous, extreme itchy skin, red patchy & lumpy skin, exhaustion and feeling tired, waking up a lot, headaches and migraine, stomach aches and indigestion, no appetite, extremes of diarrhoea and constipation, eating a lot, heart palpitations, irregular heartbeat    Emotional… Crying, deep sadness, confused, nervousness, passionless, anger, extreme fear    Mental… Anxious, intense dreaming, loneliness, not thinking straight, foggy, not remembering, losing words, depressed    Barbara’s suggestions for more comfort   Consciously breathing in the new energy, especially in painful areas and fearful feelings for at least 10 mins. at a time, healthy daily eating of protein, good fats, lots of fruit and veg (fibre), drink plenty of fresh water (with pinch seasalt/bicarb of soda once a week), moderate use of caffeine, coffee, tea and alcohol, positive and loving self talk, soaking the body in Epsom salts and lavender oil, walking in nature or some form of gentle exercise you enjoy 20 mins a day, sleep a lot… napping through the day if possible, trust yourself… even when doubt tries to creep into your mind.   You can read more Awakening stories by downloading the following FREE 3 part series of True Awakening Experiences…     True Awakening Experiences Part I ©2014       True Awakening Experiences… Part II ©2016       True Awakening Experiences… Part III ©2018   ©Barbara Franken… Creative Visionary & Master CreatorInspiring New Energy Consciousness & Multi-Dimensional Living       A True Magical Children’s Story about Love and Life.
